How to live intentionally
It’s never too late to change your life, live intentionally and creating a life you actually love. Whether you start mid week – mid month – mid year, as long as you breathe, there is always time and chance to be intentional and live how you want. To become the person you love to be and being truly precious with your time. To spend your attention and emotion with your loved ones, to create memories that only will leave you happy thoughts. To not waste any second of your time, but invest in something that only will benefit you and your family.
That my friend, is living intentionally.
I am on a level in life right now, where I only want to focus on what is truly important in life. What only can benefit me and my family. And with this post today I hope I could wake you up and do the same.
So how do you live intentionally?
Being intentional means that you are aware of your surrounding, aware of your loved ones, aware of what is going on in the world. You are living in now, not the past nor the future. You are here and wide AWAKE. You know exactly what you are doing and make consciously choices.
Your time is precious, so be diligent with your time. In order to live intentionally, you need to choose wisely how you want to spend your time and on what. Be brutal and honest, prioritize to what is most important to you and keep your focus on them. Keep your family and your health first and make sure whatever you do, it benefits for you and your family.
If you are overwhelmed and disorganized on daily basis, now it’s time to invest a planner and schedule your daily, weekly and monthly. Invest a family oriented Calendar for at home and digitally to sync for when out and about.
Schedule – plan and get your daily life back on track.
In this modern world we live in, technology has taken over. Whether we notice it or not, you are probably check your emails- social media every 15 minutes. In my opinion technology is killing us and our children childhood. In our household we have taken a strong measurement with our technology use. What gave me the extra push is in fact the Steve Jobs interview article I once read, where he said that he didn’t let his family use the Apple. Quite ironic right? But his reason behind it was very true to our heart.
On weekends, we don’t use our iPad- or phone, my husband and I will only use our mobile phone when we are out and about and if the kids are in bed we MAY use our ipad/laptop for internet searching. Extreme right? We are happy that we choose this way, we do recognize a big change in our self and we’re much happier.
Are you spending your time with your family? Are you taking the time out to make memories with just you and the kids and husband/wife?
Watching our children grow so fast, I asked myself whether I actually did enough with my boys? Did I took time out and made memories that we all can look back on? Personally, I don’t think I did as much I would’ve liked. So in order for me to live intentionally, I make sure consciously every night to have a family play game, whether that is hide and seek before bedtime. We also have Friday night our movie night, and Sunday is where I spend most time alone with the kids – where we do pretty much everything.
Give up / Let go
Whenever there is a change involved in life there is also the letting go /give up part. Whatever it may be, only you truly know the answer. No matter how hard it might seen, remember it’s for the best. If you don’t know what it is that you need to let go, ask yourself this:
- ‘’ What is it that is standing my way?
- What can I improve better in life,
- What’s holding me back? ‘’
- What does my truly ‘perfect’ live look like’’ ( the life that you really want).
Whenever I ask myself these questions, It’s pretty clear to me what I have to give up in order to live the life I want.
My dear friend,
I hope this post has inspired you to give up the toxic and live your life INTENTIONALLY.
To switch off the phones and run back to your loved ones. Create memories and never forget to be happy. Whatever comes your way, remind yourself you are strong and enough
